KYM Marsh has rubbished rumours she's taken early maternity leave from Corrie due to suffering from flu.
Soap star Kym Marsh has gone on maternity leave from Coronation Street ahead of the birth of her baby in April.
But 34-year-old says it's nothing to do with coming down with flu - like reports suggested.
She tweeted today: "Hi all. Just wanna clear up some news reports stating I'm on early maternity leave due to flu! That's incorrect, i've taken doctors advice and corrie have supported my decision. Thanks guys x"
Kym recently came down with a bout of flu, telling her followers yesterday: "Hi everyone. Sorry I've not been around but am poorly in bed with flu. Will hopefully be back on form tomorrow. See u all then. Lotsa luv xx
But the actress, who is expecting a baby with fiance Jamie Lomas, has been quick to insist that this has not impacted her decision to leave work early.
A Corrie spokesman confirmed Marsh had been allowed to start her leave earlier than usual given the circumstances of her previous pregnancy.
The couple were left devastated when their son Archie died moments after his premature birth in February 2009.
