Coronation Street star Beverley Callard says playing brassy Rovers landlady Liz McDonald makes her smoke more.
The actress, who is quitting the role this year, said she gives up the habit when she is not filming the part.
She told New! magazine: "I've not been filming much recently and it's great because I don't really smoke, but then I go back to playing Liz and start again."
Bev, 53, recently tied the knot with partner Jon McEwan.
She recently launched a boot camp class, which helped her slim from a size 14 to a size 10 ahead of her wedding.
