Coronation Street's Sally Webster is to get a new love interest in the shape of former telly fireman Steven Houghton.
Steven, who starred in London's Burning, will play wealthy businessman and ladies' man Jeff, who catches the eye of the ladies of Weatherfield.
Widowed Gail Platt (Helen Worth) pounces on Jeff when he arrives in the Rovers, and is put out when he asks Sally (Sally Dynevor) on a date instead.
A source told the Sun: "Sally is flattered by the attention. Jeff is just gorgeous and a real catch for the ladies of Weatherfield.
"Kevin is very jealous when he realises there is a new man in his wife's life. With Jeff on her arm, Sally will be the envy of every woman on the Street."
Sally has separated from husband Kevin (Michael Le Vell) following the bombshell that he had fathered a child with Molly Dobbs.
