X FACTOR winner Matt Cardle has set his sights on starring in Coronation Street.

Matt told how he would happily settle for a bit part on his favourite soap as long as his character was a hero.
He said in the wake of the show's tram crash: "If I could have a cameo it would be on Coronation Street - just because it's all kicking off. I could run in and help someone out."
He added: "I've been dreaming big all my life and I'm not about to stop."
Unfortunately for Matt, we've mocked him up in a slightly less dramatic role - that of Corrie's legendary cleaner Hilda Ogden.
Kym Marsh - Rovers barmaid Michelle Connor - will be rooting for him to appear. She gushed: "I love Matt Cardle."
Matt, who reportedly celebrated the New Year in Newcastle with X Factor dancer Sarah Robinson, described his triumph on the talent show as a "launchpad" for even bigger things.
One star he is keen to work with is Katy Perry. Matt said: "I think she's wicked." He would also love to team up with Rihanna again after she sang an X Factor duet with him. Matt confessed to "fancying the pants off her".
Meanwhile Matt has been reminded of his biggest ordeal on X Factor - being parted from his labrador. His mentor Dannii Minogue posted a snap of him introducing her to his pet on Twitter.
