A fire in the village is about to kill at least two characters.
A mystery arsonist starts the blaze in Victoria Cottage in the middle of the night and it quickly spreads to neighbouring homes.
Businessman Carl King and farmer Andy Sugden are the first to discover the row of houses on fire and try to save those inside.
But with the flames having taken hold the pair struggle to get close to the burning homes.
Soap bosses are keeping tight-lipped about who will be killed but Chas Dingle, Katie Sugden, Betty Eagleton and Viv Hope are among those trapped.
Mother and daughter Brenda and Gennie Walker also find themselves caught up in the drama.
Soap chiefs have confirmed at least two villagers will die as a result of the tragedy, which sparks a manhunt for the twisted arsonist.
An insider said: “A number of locals will face being blamed.”
You can catch the drama as it unfolds from January 13.
